The Distance Learning on Population Issues (DLPI) programme was launched in 2002 with the technical support of the UN Staff College. About 200 staff members are coming back to each of the four DLPI terms per year to follow a tutor-led course, a growing number of staff members have now obtained the “Certificate of Achievement” issued by the University of Costa Rica. The DLPI programme is managed by Markus Voelker (DHR/LCMB), and it is administered by the University of Costa Rica Carmen Marin (firstname.lastname@example.org). Programme tutoring is shared between the University of Costa Rica, the Mauritius Institute of Health, and Proyecto Kalu.
